even if there were no dispute over placement of particular media outlets, it doesn't factor in size.

it's scary how many people rely on foxnews, an outlet this chart places in "nonsense damaging to public discourse", for all their fact reporting.

I would agree with the general level of "bias" assigned to the various media outlets but the size of their consumer and general influence is definitely important. The medium by which these organizations deliver information is also a factor worth considering. A single website will not have as much general impact as organizations that have an online, radio and television presence.

with the opinion that the left-wing disreputable sources are as outrageously misleading and full of falsehoods as the right-wing sources, but it's not entirely off.

ask any rethug to make this chart and the stuff in the lower right goes to the top center, and everything else goes to the bottom left.
