Ya know, If I was a terrorist, my strategy to beat America would be
to give as much money as I can to the Republican Party as I could. They have done a better job of destroying what made America the world super power.
- Remember when Bin Laden supposedly said "We will bankrupt you" and W went about doing just that. While this didn't lead to the economic crash, it has surely been used to limit responses to the crisis.
- Wrecking our powerful economy seems to be a specialty of the Republican Party. Why should our enemies work their asses off to try to undermine it when our own electeds do what they probably couldn't?
- Want to kill Americans? You could do it yourself or sponsor people who will make sure Americans are armed to the teeth and ready to kill each other at the drop of an insult.
- And it doesn't hurt to make sure that people group themselves into self serving groups that hate "other" groups and seek to keep them out of the mainstream of society. This will breed hatred for each other.
- Want to kill some more Americans with little effort? Sponsor candidates who will keep medical and hospital care from 1/3 of the population. That will shorten their lives.
- Also sponsor candidates that will push for polluting energy sources like oil and coal. That will slowly sap the health of the population. And keep those aging nuclear plants running. One is bound to blow soon enough.
There are no doubt many more examples, but I am sure you get the gist of where I am going.
Maybe I am out of line here. I am not calling Republicans terrorists in any manner. I will leave that to the Rush Limbaughs and Michelle Bachmanns of the world to make that claim on against their opponents. What I am saying is that the policies espoused by a party that now represents only a narrow slice of the political spectrum have had the effect of doing what our enemies would like to see done.
Am I crazy?
