Isn't Romney's Attempt to Win Jewish Voters Out of Reach?

Last stat I saw was Obama with 68% of the Jewish vote and Mitt in low 30's. It seems to me that the trip to Israel has nothing to do with Jewish voters but secret money and the far right's enthrallment with end of times.Oh, and, of course, trying to gin up war for our war machine profits......this guy is a creep....

There have always been a contingent of GOP Jewish voters and with the election of President Obama, that number grew considerably. And now with the fear mongering "it's ok to attack Iran" bullshit he is spewing in conjunction with his visit to Israel, where our GOP and right leaning leaders have high support from many groups- especially the very religious-- he has a chance of growing the Jewish vote numbers. It is a very sad fact but the right wing media has done a terrific job of spinning Obama as being anti- Israel (which of course is total bullshit), anti- Jewish (pretty sure David Axelrod disagrees) and pro-Palestinian.

I'm pretty sure the majority of American Jews will continue to vote blue, but for anyone on the cusp, Romney is doing his best to sway them his way.

Have to be horrified at Rmoney's campaign gaffe of holding a proposed $50,000-a-plate fundraiser on the most solemn, major fast day on the Jewish calendar.

On tisha b'av.

Apparently couldn't wait until Monday.

I gotta think that isn't sitting too well with the Orthodox crowd.

He's tasteless and classless - and what pisses me off, is he is a strong believer in a church that says Jews don't go to heaven unless they repent and accept their version of Jesus and get baptized in their church. So, his being in Israel is an insult frankly to anyone Jewish (of course we still do have the option of being baptized after death- one of the Mormon specialties).

The Orthodox who support the GOP- especially the right wing Christian wingnuts- and in this case a Mormon because of their "apparent" support for Israel are not aware or ignoring the fact that the real reason they give a shit about Israel is due to their belief that says it must be in the hands of the Jews in order for Jesus to return. But of course they also believe that without being baptized, the Jews don't go to heaven when he does return.

As for their belief that Obama supports Israel less in any way then any sitting President in history is total bullshit. Part of the Faux news propaganda and fear mongering of the right wing.

the latest gallup poll showed support for Mitt declining and support for the President growing. The contingent of Jewish Republicans is very small.

Here in Florida for example, where they are purging thousands of eligible voters, every vote counts and there are many Jewish seniors who so Israel focused, they truly believe Obama is pro Palestinian- never mind that they are ignoring the fact that our asshole governor and Romney as well, are going to destroy Medicare as they know it. They are glued to Faux news- have already decided Obama is not pro- Israel and that's how they will vote.

It's like the first generation Cubans who are so anti- Castro that they see nothing else when it comes to elections- and vote GOP because they believe the GOP hates Castro more.

what will that do to oil futures and the price of gas? A shooting war in the Persian Gulf might be good for certain war profiteers, but disastrous for the world economy in general.
