It's GOT to be at least double that.

In one year we spent at least $2k on a sick cat & horses, for all their size, are very fragile creatures.

and horses eat a LOT.. A pampered horse surely costs more than listed to feed for a year

So we would seem to well within the usual parameters here. The matter of food needs adjusting, of course, but one suspects that is being worked on....

We charge $600/month board and that includes the feed. We're 40 miles west of Chicago and one of the higher priced barns in our area. There's no way Ann's horse feed and boarding costs are $2500/month. Just no way especially since they keep their horses at home.

Horse "clothing" is a one time expense. I'd guess the saddle and bridle that Rafalca wears were made for her a decade ago. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who rides who swaps out saddles - you get very, very comfortable in the tack which over the years "conforms" to your butt and your hand. I'm sure it DID cost $10,000 but that's a one time cost amortized over the life of the horse.

Transport costs - probably correct.

Health care costs - Right now? Zero. Rafalca's health care costs are currently covered by the USET and have been since she went international. So basically it costs them nothing since they're covered by a private foundation. Prior to getting to the FEI level though? No way was it just $2000, it was definitely more than that for sure.
