Mitt Romney's gaffe-prone world tour continues as it was revealed he was forced to cancel a high-price dinner fundraiser in Israel because it was scheduled for a Jewish day of fasting.
The cultural misstep on his stop in Israel followed a disastrous trip to Britain, where he insinuated that London was not ready for the Olympic games -- receiving cutting rebukes from Prime Minister David Cameron and London Mayor Boris Johnson

2. It's not really cancelled.

He rescheduled it to a breakfast the next day. But apparently everyone knew from the get-go about the problem but his campaign thought it was no big deal and they should do it anyway. This also might explain the banning of the press, and the statement now that press will be allowed at the breakfast - his guests didn't want to be seen eating with the jerk on a fast day.

Jewish "days" as far as religion is concerned are sunset to sunset. He thought that by making it at 9:30 he would be ok - but this really was not ok with the most observant as even the break fast is a time of contemplation.
