The same advice goes for anyone who thinks they can teach even a bit of common sense to the preening political ideologues whove taken over the Republican Party and the U.S. House of Representatives. As weve seen in their incessant, pigheaded attacks on the health-care reform law, their minds are not merely fogged up with extremist anti-government theories, theyre impervious to rational thought.
<snip>
Their greatest failure, however, is that they offer no alternative to Obamacare. During the debate on their latest attempt to repeal the law, a Democratic lawmaker asked for a copy of the GOPs health-care plan so he could read it aloud to other members. Silence in the chamber.

No surprise I doubt this bunch can walk and chew gun at the same time. Though theyre a tenacious bunch! Maybe not tenacious, more like dogmatic, obstinate and obtuse, too. Pigheaded yeah, thats it.
A few other gems:
They throw "hissy fits"
They're into "political peacocking"
They're "just plain stupid"
And so much more. God I love Jim Hightower!

(6,286 posts)with a RW co-worker that if Romney wins, they won't repeal the ACA within the first 2 years (Although the Mittwit claims he'll do it on day 1. ) They have nothing to replace it with. Plus it destroys one of their boogeymen. They'd rather have something to fight against than something to fight for.

(39,909 posts)THAT has been their baby all along.
The Republicans could have never achieved THAT on their own.
They will attack some of the regulations imposed on the Insurance Cartel,
and oppose the expansion of Medicaid.
You will know them by their WORKS,
not by their rhetoric, promises, or excuses.

They'll tinker with it, smooth out some rough edges, rough up some smooth edges, and bemoan the evil Democrats who won't let them repeal it.
I dont think they'll get the chance though. Romney looks unelectable at this point.

(159 posts)Let's not forget George Bush? There are a lot of crazy Republicans out there and I've heard a lot of them say that they will vote for anybody or anything, even a dog, against Obama. They just hate Obama and won't admit why.
