Fuck you GB and whatever remains of your empire.

Last edited Sun Aug 12, 2012, 10:12 PM - Edit history (1)

You paid no respects to the Rolling Stones in either the opening or closing ceremonies. Not a single second for the "World's Greatest Rock and Roll Band". Sir Mick Jagger and your friend Keith? The Queen says fuck you, we have shitty Beatles music we can play.

Wow, thanks for respecting a person's opinion on matters unrelated to politics.

Just because the Rolling Stones are still together, doesn't mean shit. The Beatles were the kings the RS were the jokers. Aftermath is the ONLY record I can listen to from start to finish. LOL! If it weren't for the Beatles, the Stones would have been another Paul Revere and the Raiders. 4 top ten songs, and gone before 1970. The Stones needed the Beatles to make it.

The Stones may not be the Beatles, but they are clearly up there with the best of British Rock.

I really liked the closing ceremony...I am a huge RS fan since they first started (I'm old) and also a Beatles fan. I loved the Who and Queen there. Wasn't it great to see Freddy Mercury again? He was resurrected. Amazing.

The other acts were great. I didn't know a lot of the new ones but I still enjoyed them. George Michael was so good...My son looks like him, even won a look alike contest years ago.

There was so much energy and color in the ceremony. It was very communal.

There are only three contestants, if you count groups that released albums.

1) Beatles (based on history)
2) Traveling Wilburys (based on members)
3) The Million Dollar Quartet (based on members)

If you don't add "released albums", then any of a bunch of one-off supergoups qualify (at benefit concerts, etc)

The rock oracle has spoken.
