Season finale of The Newsroom already?

Wow- that went by so fast. I shall miss this weekly delightful, well written and brilliant show. It's been so great having an hour of Aaron Sorkin's amazing writing to look forward to every week. Guess I never did actually get over the loss of West Wing.

So I guess this means it doesn't return till after the election...

Yeah, I thought the season was really short. "True Blood" too. n/t Cleita Aug 2012 #1
Yeah, how many episodes of True Blood? 6? That's ridiculous. Nay Aug 2012 #2

It's okay - but definitely nowhere near West Wing or Sports Night good. Drunken Irishman Aug 2012 #5

of Bill turning into Lilith was a little weird even for that show. It seems like they are running out of ideas.

And even then it's becoming cost-prohibitive. Most of the cable companies producing original content have gone with the few-but-better-episodes formula, and I'm glad -- stuff like The wire, Deadwood, Breaking Bad, and The Newsroom would NEVER have shown up under the old model.

It peeled the skin off the Republicans, very slowly, episode by episode. The last one was a really astounding.

Loved it when these republican tea baggers were called the American Taliban...so true. If news shows could really present the news like this show was. I did not think this show boring at all. I loved West Wing very much. The Newsroom is a lot like it.

I hate HBO's production schedules. They used to do that with The Sopranos, too. Six or eight weeks, then hiatus for over a year!

Some of the office romance crap is just plain goofy, but there is a lot of good content as well.
