Isaac has really punched a hole in the Repub convention

First of all, at least two southern guvs have cancelled (Bentley and Jindal) Others have postponed and may cancel.

There is no way that with Isaac heading toward the Gulf Coast that the repukes can afford to look celebratory. They can't ignore the storm. Virtually all the speakers are going to have to reference it. Lots of partying will look callous and obscene.

Of course I hope for the best. I don't want the repukes' gathering ruined at the expense of lives and homes, but the fact is that th storm is already damaging the convention. And as far as I understand it, Isaac is forecast to hit Wednesday or Thursday, meaning that the Convention will be operating under its shadow for most of its duration.

GOP supporters sent out the word to pray for heavy rain for Obama's big DNC rally, which was outdoors. In return, Dems got beautiful weather, and GOP had to scale down their festivities because of a hurricane.

For people who claim so much faith in god, they sure can't take a hint!
