Will we ever have an excellent media that reports on politics ?

By media, I mean the cable networks and newspapers. My dream is for Americans to watch the evening news and see *gasp* the complete truth.

Am I just a silly dreamer or could this happen one day ?

1. We have some very good investigative journalists at work, but they're drowned in a sea of lies....

Granted, I don't even watch TV any more. My impression is the news shows that *most* people watch are terribly one-sided and/or incomplete. Yes, we news/political junkies can easily find the truth, but my concern is for the vast majority of Americans who are too busy/tired/unmotivated to seek it out.

I think I'm dreaming. Sigh.

How severe and widespread the "dumbing down of America",has been...News orgs both pander to and feed on this,I believe.....The most recent reminder of this for me came yesterday,when with all that's going on,anywhere,the big all encompassing news item,for me 26 year old niece,was that "Snooki" had a litter.....
