What if males were held liable for impregnating a woman against her will

and were given some drastic punishments?
My brain keeps thinking that if the blame and onus of an unwanted pregnancy were placed on the male, maybe there would be some mind changes.
And if every person calling for no termination of pregnancies were forced to pay a special premium for the upkeep of those unwanted births?

stated simply, I wish there were someway to make these people put their money where their mouths are.

I think you mean "liable". Libel is a written defamation. marybourg Aug 2012 #1

Women and children are chattel. If a woman gets knocked up by a rapist, he should pay damages (equivalent to 9 months womb rental) to her husband or father.

Here's the bottom line. We are talking about forcing someone to mix her genetic material with a violent criminal's genetic material. In some cases, a woman may see the resulting child as a part of her and might choose to carry that child to term. Other women may not wish to mix their genes with someone they did not CHOOSE as a sexual partner. And that is up to them to decide.
