I have seen less then 15 minutes total of the RNC and I am fine with that. Why
should I watch Condi Rice who even after seeing the 8/6/2001 PDB did nothing and
let this nation get hit or listen to Paul Ryan who went right along w/George W's
taking the surplus he inherited from Bill Clinton into a massive debt w/ unfunded
wars, a tax cut for the rich, and a law that let the big pharmaceutical get a sweet
heart deal and charge all of us way to much for medications talk about fiscal res-
ponsibility?
So how much have you really watched of the RNC?

(44 posts)and we both sit there and moan and groan and shoot birds at the speakers and roll our eyes and say things like "they've got to be kidding" until finally I get sick of listening to their crap and go find something else to do.

(31,839 posts)Just got back from two weeks in Italy last night - and I won't be watching this evening. It's a waste of my time. I know it's a bunch of lies, smoke in mirrors and at the end of the day - I've already made up my mind.

(18,672 posts)Reading about it here is enough to tie my stomach in knots. I'm not all that confident in the ability of the American people to spot utter bullshit. Most people don't really pay much attention to what's going on in politics, or read rebuttals the next day after a speech, so just knowing Republicans have a large forum where they can spout their lies unchallenged for a few days is very frustrating. Every time Republicans meet in large numbers, the song, "War Pigs" pops in my mind.

(1,108 posts)on Current TV, and they had Paul Krugman on before the festivities began. Krugman was explaining Paul Ryan's "budget," and I watched that. Not sure if I'll get around to watching any more of it. I have no desire to see Condi or Ryan.

(27,670 posts)Although I did watch "The Unforgettable" video of Clint on DU.
That was a hoot for sure; Clint's always entertaining.

I am actually pleased with where they are going. Because it is forcing Obama to clearly come out and support the poor and working classes of this nation as against the delusion that America consists only of CEOs, future-CEOs and those too lazy to become CEOs.
If they think it's class warfare now, just wait.
Not that the dems don't have their own corporatocracy issues.
