Man kills girlfriend after she didn't tell him she had HIV before they had sex

A man confessed to stabbing his girlfriend to death because she did not tell him she was HIV positive before they had sex.
'She killed me, so I killed her', Larry Dunn Jr, 36, told officers in Dallas, Texas, after the body of Cicely Bolden, 28, was found by her two young children returning home from school.

The 28-year-old was lying naked from the waist down on her bedroom floor bleeding from two stab wounds in her neck.

Ms Bolden and 36-year-old Dunn had recently started dating. He later told police that when she confessed to having the virus she then told him it was 'not that bad'.
He became upset and walked to the kitchen to get a knife which he used to kill her with, according to police.

I saw that. She should have told him first, but killing her is beyond belief and there is no excuse. HopeHoops Sep 2012 #1

She shouldn't have to die for that. But he agreed to unprotected sex and that was as much his fault as hers. Would he have killed her over chlamydia? I know HIV positive people who don't view it as an automatic death sentence. One of them refused to spar in karate for fear that his blood might infect someone (and yes, there's often blood in sparring). Why the hell would you have unprotected sex until you're sure both of you are free of STDs? PA requires testing before marriage, so my wife and I know we're both free. It's just common sense, and yes, as I said, just as much his fault as hers. He murdered her.

I can understand someone losing their mind. What world do some of you live in? I imagine it was a brief moment of insanity.

Doesnt justify it by any means but I can easily see him getting off on a temporary insanity plea. Of course his statement she killed me so I killed her doesnt really help him much. Doesnt show much remorse over his actions.

'after she didn't tell him before'. Jesus, what a sentence.

That could transmit HIV

He probably put himself at more risk of contracting HIV through the stabbing than he did the sex, especially if he cut himself in the process (pretty common, from what I've read).

I think she was wrong for not telling him the true from the beginning. She should of known better to use protection regardless if she was HIV positive or not. Maybe be he could of been infected by STD's whose know...MEN!!!!! He had no rights to kill her. I think he should do time just for killing her....
