Most people are at work and didn't hear it. They won't be aware of it til they get home and turn to the news outlet of their choice.

Anyone who watched it in person has to realize that it was one big screwup.

It will be interesting to see how it's spun. I recall Bush coming across terribly in live speeches only to have the media slice and dice it so he sounded good.

When Mitt can't even get Congressional Republicans like Boehner, Cantor, McConnell to back him up, he has to realize that you're on the wrong side of public opinion on this one. Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, and teabaggers may whoop and applaud him but it doesn't look like any serious politician and/or pundit seem to be behind him on this---and rightfully so IMHO!

Like almost everything else Republicans and Democrats are living in alternate realities, it isn't just that we have different opinions...we have different facts. This isn't going to hurt him a bit with the FNC crowd.

I think he's run out of credibility with the middle, I'm just not sure this has a big impact either way.

Romney's flub makes us forget about the original attacks.

I'm very angry that the people we helped free in Lybia are now attacking us! THEY should be apologizing to US--not that Obama has done the apologizing that Mitidiot claimed. Lybia should pull out their wallets and pay not only the families of the victims but also the people of the United States for all of the help we gave them in their "revolution." Romney really jumped the gun. There is something to criticize here, but Rommey got it wrong.

at the American embassy for attempting to establish calm in the face of a mob and then use the death of 4 Americans to score political points, you have not only jumped the shark, you've shown your true self to be a sociopath .

'Jumping the Shark' was first defined when a long-running popular TV show does something hugely stupid and after that moment the show pretty much sucked. It goes back to Happy Days, once a very popular staple of American TV viewing, when they had the Fonz jump a shark tank. There are websites devoted to 'Jump the Shark' moments in TV including when shows add a new baby to the show, when too many popular characters leave a show or when a popular show adds Ted McGinley to their cast; there are many many reasons as to why really good shows start to suck.

'Jump the Shark' has been used for decades even beyond TV shows to justify how something was once very popular and then turned to crap because of a stupid choice made.

To imply that Mitt Romney has 'Jumped the Shark' means that at one time Mitt Romney was actually a decent, viable candidate that was well liked by Americans. I don't think he was ever well liked even by the people who voted for him. I think for many Mitt Romney was simply 'Anyone But Obama'. The absolutely racist type hatred towards Obama has made these right-wing nut jobs settle for Romney because after that long, drawn-out primary season all their favorite candidates pretty much took turns shooting themselves in the foot and dropping from the race.

So to me Mitt has not 'Jumped the Shark' because he's not even close to the Fish Tank where the shark swims and his motorcycle is busted to pieces.

Nuff said.
