Pro military, family-values Republican Blocks Disabled American Veteran benefit increase

Where is McCain's outrage? Boehner's? Ryan's? Romney's? Reince Priebus'? Michele Bachmann's? Sarah Freakin' Palin's? Rush Limpball's? Slant-head Hannity?

These flag-waving, pro-war psychopaths will stand in front of a company of soldiers for a photo-op, but when our heroes need us, this Republican coward dumps them ANONYMOUSLY! and no Republican is yelling about the indignity!

...then who will be left in the military to fight the new war with Iran! Pro-military does not mean pro-troops!

(Please note the sarcasm, and I think I'll stand by the cynicism)

are more concerned with keeping their positions than doing what they know is unquestionably right. Look at your list, McCain & Boehner are the only names on it with even a tenuous grasp on reality. Why aren't they yelling? Why is a Democratic Administration engaged in continuing and even expanding a policy of unlawful murder half a world away?

There is nobody left in power in America that has the slightest interest in making this nation better. LBJ ended his political career, knowing full well that he was doing so, to push what he knew to be the right thing through the sausage grinder. Who's left in DC that would do anything close to that? I don't see anyone at all except the lone Democratic Socialist that has no chance whatsoever of ever being on charge of anything.

Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) brought the bill to the Senate floor Sept. 21. The bill was cleared by Senate Democrats but was held up by an unnamed Republican, according to her office. The Senate subsequently recessed without passing the bill.

After Murray issued a statement Thursday morning calling the development “stunning,” the office of Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), the ranking Republican on the Senate veterans’ committee, said the issue had been resolved.

“It has cleared our side, meaning there is no hold,” David Ward, a spokesman for Burr, said Thursday afternoon.

Under Senate rules requiring unanimous consent, a single senator can block legislation by privately placing a hold on the bill.
