Think hard. Have you heard a single Republican say they're looking forward to a Romney presidency?

These guys really want to sock it to Obama--to humiliate him, to take revenge on him, to bring him down from his high horse, to pull down his pants and make him cry, you name it. They say they can't wait for election day, but what's missing is an excitement for January 2013, when President-Elect Romney would take office. I'm willing to bet that most Republicans haven't even thought that far in advance, or worse, don't WANT to think that far in advance.

Every single pro-Romney post I've seen on neutral websites, every pro-Romney statement I've heard from conservative pundits--they're all 99% about the President. The best thing they can say about Romney is "he's not Obama." We've all heard the comparisons to the election 8 years ago, but I heard way more enthusiasm for John Kerry in 2004 than I've heard for Mitt Romney in 2012.

That's what's startling to me about this election--it's not exactly a two-man race. It's pro-Obama people against anti-Obama people. And the fact that this race is even partially close, despite Romney's status as "Candidate B", as a cypher in a suit...well, it tells you just how virrulently anti-Obama the Republicans in this country are.

many of whom really never faced some of the generational horrors that others have, yet have fantasized that they have in order to motivate themselves. But since their outrage was faked and then internalized, they never baked in the "hope" that the truly oppressed often have in order to have survived this long. Thus it never really comes up in their dialog.

A life long repuke, solely because her WW2 Vet Dad was,is sitting out this round....Interestingly,she didn't vote in 08 or 10 either....While she says there are just too many nuts,on the right, she also says,"a guy like Obama isn't ready YET to be Prez."..

The upshot is,the thugs lost her with the McCain/Trailer Trash Barbie fiasco, and have done nothing since to entice her back....

I have talked with a couple of republicans who absolutely believe that as soon as Romney is sworn in the economy will magically cure itself and unemployment will drop below 5%.

they know it's not going to be President Obama so- for them- it will have to be Mitt Romney. Simple as that. Of course, that "autopen" will only work when Republicans control the WH and Congress. Right now, them winning the Senate is in doubt not to mention the mere possibility of Romney being elected POTUS.
