Yeah, it was pretty embarrassing.

What cracks me up is the pre-WW2 drawing of what constitutes a "bomb." I mean, really--no one's going to be lobbing anything that looks like that over anyone's border anytime soon! He would have been a bit more convincing if he had a menacing-looking generic missile-looking thing on his graph!

Has to be the biggest embarrassment of his life. OTOH, only one more for Bibi, who doesn't seem capable of embarrassing himself.

his views, and that's never going to change. If the nation-state of Israel wants a different perspective at the helm, they have to trade Bibi out for a different model, because he's not shifting. He's like granite when it comes to his POV!

Powell, OTOH, was more willing to do as he was told than to tell the boss that what he was doing was wrong. Powell railed privately (and after-the-fact in a book) but didn't have the "granite" constitution to tell Porgie that this was a fool's errand and he didn't want to be played. He'd have a better place in history if he'd done that, to be blunt about it.

I'll never forget that day. They had the hearings on TV where I worked at the time. Some of my former co-workers were shitting their pants over it. I just said, "Cartoons? Are you fucking kidding me? That's their proof? They can read a license plate from a satellite, yet they can't produce anything but a cartoon of these alleged weapons labs? What bullshit!" That met with blank stares and the sound of crickets. I left at that point. I couldn't take it any more.
