Since when did 'white genocide' crazy talk go mainstream?

The top-voted comment (45 likes) of this David Pakman video "CNN Gives Credibility to Racist White Supremacists in Story on Race" (video has 60 likes, 33 dislikes):

Lets have a vote!

"Anti-Whites and Pro Whites, is it possible to put forward an argument that does not amount to GENOCIDE, against White people?"

If you are against White Genocide, vote thumbs UP

If you are an Anti-White racist, vote thumbs DOWN

LOL, I say downvote this horseshit just for spite.

The second-most-liked (4 likes):

If a white man has an opinion about race and culture,

he's always called a "naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews".

These two bozos are a classic example of this silliness.

And the rest of the comments section is filled with anti-Semitism and white nationalist POV, as Pakman DARED call out Political Cesspool blogger James Edwards (and thus the website embedded this video and got the zombies commenting). Basically this David Pakman segment criticized CNN for interviewing Edwards and VDARE's Peter Brimelow as experts in "white racial anxiety", without pointing out the shady views of them.

My reply to the top comment (please upvote this comment):

stop it with this false dilemma. Race does not make someone special, ever. We're just people. And since when were white americans forcibly seized from their homes and sent to concentration camps or death squads?

I have pointed out similar reaction to the University of Minnesota Duluth's "Un Fair Campaign" posting a PSA on YouTube, the top comment with this shoddy logic:

The subtext of this video seems to be that every White person naturally has this 'White privilege', from birth, just by their virtue of being White.

If that's the case how are they planning to eradicate this 'privilege'?

If every White person has 'privilege' and it is inherent, then the only way of eradicating White privilege would be to eradicate WHITE PEOPLE.

This video is in reality promoting GENOCIDE

Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.

And the video had ~500 likes and ~3,000 dislikes before being hidden. Right wing blogs like The Blaze and Gateway Pundit (mainstream sites, by the way) fueled all this negative traffic. As Pakman pointed out in the video, a poll showed about 40% of Americans felt that discrimination against white people in this country was worsening. That is why whenever a YouTube video is posted discussing racial issues, this "liberals want white genocide" nuttery gets upvotes, while any reasonable responses get downvoted.

I wonder, how did America slide from the civil rights movement to this Thou Shalt Not Criticize White People Ever mentality in 4 decades? This "white genocide" meme is just as fucked up as the "Obama wants to take away your guns" meme yet both have become popular thought in America. WHY????

I know this is an older thread, and I'm new here, but I can't just not say something. Genocide is one of my pet peeves, since it is ACTUALLY going on in places like Africa and Tibet and nothing much is being done to stop it.

To say that White people are somehow under threat of genocide is unheard of. I've studied International Human Rights as part of my undergraduate curriculum... no serious authority on the subject entertains this theory, and they would if it were happening, since their job is to identify and advocate against genocide.
