Clearly he wasn't trying to convince the world's diplomats. Nor was he trying to convince thoughtful Americans.

He was going after Limbaugh's audience - people who need cartoon simplicity to understand an issue.



And he may have done the impossible - he may have insulted the intelligence of THAT audience. Probably not, but maybe.
