(22,109 posts)Normally when I try to pass her to someone she's just met she clings to me like mad and cries.
However, when I passed her to one of my dearest friends yesterday for the 1st time this was her immediate reaction....

She really is a bundle of joy and the light of my life.
I'm still amazed how we're instantly able to share precious moments accross the world like this.

(13,893 posts)When Will was a baby, not even walking yet, I was interviewing women to care for him while I worked. We were living in Alabama and there was no such thing as day care centers at that time. One woman had a good resume and great references and I invited her to my home. She walked into Will's room, he was in his crib, and he started to wail and wouldn't stop. I didn't think much about it at the time because this woman was very lovely and personable but when I called her references they told me to stay way away from this woman...one of them told me that the woman had beaten her children.
Two lessons here: babies KNOW! and be sure to always check references!
