4. Alaska has legalized medical marijuana

and has largely decriminalized personal possession thanks to the Ravin v. State case decided in 1975. Our state constitution has a very strong privacy clause, and the court ruled that mj possession in one's home was protected under that clause. We can have up to one ounce (some interpretations say 4 ounces) for personal use or 25 plants with little punishment. LE only goes after you here if they suspect you have a large commercial grow.
