(82,849 posts)The concept is just too hard to explain, and nobody can possibly understand the problem of using weapons on civilians that would be a war crime if they were deployed against an opposing military force. The concept is just too abstract to be communicated.

(36,088 posts)was my first question, although in the back of my mind, I knew. Recall the military distribution to police departments? Obama stopped it but I think trump started it back up again. Anyone who knows for certain, please correct me if necessary.
The article, while excellent in every way, doesn't exactly answer this question, or at least if it did, I didn't catch it.
Second, if you read the entire article, you will most likely come to the conclusion that this is a war of the federal government on a municipality. Just one of many sick practices to come out of the trump maladministration.
I trust that with Biden in charge there will be cooperation on the matter of providing information required by NEPA and gov't agents firing directly on protestors.
