To the MSM, it's all just a big fucking game

That's all this Presidential Election is to them. For a while Obama looked almost inevitable, then he had a crappy debate, and Romney suddenly looked better. (I know, I know... Better, you say? Just stick with me on this one).

Well now we're in the home stretch. 65 million people are tuning in to the debates, and the general public is now focused and thinking hard about who it wants to be the next President. But, the MSM knows that the public is fickle. And even though they are really paying attention now that we are getting down to the wire, if we in the media don't paint this as a real horserace... people will lose interest.

And the MSM will lose ratings.

And can't charge as much for ad dollars.

And won't make as much money.

Money.

$$$

Ratings and money.

Are more important to the MSM... than drilling down on the still relatively unscrutinized business, political and personal background of Willard Mitt Romney.

Instead... we are talking about 'binders full of women', 'Romnesia', 'act of terror vs. act of terrorism and loads of other ear candy bullshit.

This man is/was a pro-Vietnam war activist draft-dodger who went on to devote his life to the relentless and ruthless pursuit of money and profit above all and anything else. He built his fortune off misfortune. To use his own terminology, Bain Capital's mission was to 'harvest' companies with the end result all too often being hollowed out and sold off entities and workers stripped of their pensions, while their jobs were off shored to China.

Ted Kennedy called him Multiple Choice Mitt. A dangerous enough reality when you are describing a man without a core running for the U.S. Senate, an even more dangerous reality when this man becomes the Governor of Massachusetts, and simply caters his stance on this issue or that according to which way the wind is blowing. Huntsman had it right. Mitt is a weather vane.

Make this man President of the United States, and leader of the Free World, while he remains as susceptible as ever to the voices whispering, or shouting, in his ear from the far right - to whom he owes so very much - and we are all at risk. America, and the rest of the world.

But, ya know... ratings. Money. Gotta make the most of them cuz come November 7th no one is going to give a fuck anymore, returning in droves to Dancing With The Stars and Honey Boo Boo.

Ka ching.

on first Pres debate.

It surprised me. Guess it was always there - the distrust and contempt for those actors and that was what really brought it out loud and clear to me.

Still haven't tuned in and just thinking about listening to what those self important fuckers say makes me sick.

Big Ed redeemed himself, imo, with his show from Bain-Port Friday night. That was a great report!

the way rachel says "romney won the first debate" absolutely unequivocally, as if it's immaterial that all he spewed was lies to get there. and she imo is just as bad as anyone in terms of the way she relishes the horse race aspect. she just loves politics and can't get enough of it. i'm just starting to hate politics but i still give a shit about the country's future i still watch her but i skip segments more. oh, and dan rather. i admire him and all and think he got a bad deal at cbs, but i don't find his analysis scintillating or inspiring in any way.

bush came close but rmoney would leave only 2 classes rich and poor...it would be too late for the rep. who got bamboozled into voting for him to correct the vote in 2016. I strongly believe he would destroy this country.
Obama came into an almost impossible situation to get out of, and he's done a magical job so far on what he's accomplished without any help from the pukes. The asswipe media should look at where we were 4 yrs ago...I THINK THEY FORGOT HOW FUCKING BAD IT WAS
