Anonymous could threaten to hack the crap out of the votingmachines

Threaten, promise...hell, who knows, China, Iran -- ANYBODY can hack our election if they're savvy enough.

This is a bipartisan issue.

I know jack about hacks but it woudl be easiest to probably just make all the num, bers disappear or come in a brazillion votes too high...

DYK the largerst precinct in the us has only 2,700 people and the average has like 1,100.

Tell me why machines need to count and add these numbers.

that there are literally millions of ATMs around the world that are probably 99.99% safe from errors and hackers.....

But we can't design and build a voting machine that reliable and safe?!?!?!?!?!?!

Having worked in high tech for most of my adult life, I have a little insight about what goes on with it.

I remember distinctly, back in '01-02, after the 2000 sElection of Bush, how everybody was explaining the new electronic voting machines. I was going seriously when I heard some of the particulars. To me, it sounded like the best of 1980's technology. I came to the unfounded, but logical to me conclusion that somebody who knew somebody had a bunch of old crap circuit cards and displays laying around from some failed product release, and when this popped up, they had an inspiration. Let's just re-bundle this crap, write a few lines of code and sell it to the rubes. Seems to have worked pretty good, too.

Wasp, Plague, Trinity, and Bob, the Dog are probably going to help steal Ohio for Mitt. But I think they may go for Obama. But, you never know.

Of course, the OP presumes that the vote counting machines are Inet connected. (BAD assumption!)

(Kudos to anybody who gets the literary reference.)
