He voted in Chicago to tout early voting, then headed for the swing states. He looked confident, but tired, and his voice sounds hoarse. I think he's really feeling the effects of having a day job and doing all this heavy campaigning too. I don't know how he does it.

(3,784 posts)I heard a clip of him in Cleveland today where he actually said something to the effect of, "Even though I've been at this for about 38 straight hours now, and even though my voice is a little hoarse....." So yes, he is starting to lose his voice. It's a very common and well-known phenomenon. I remember during the 2004 primaries, newscasters talking about John Kerry's "campaign voice" (getting hoarse and scratchy from the constant campaigning). He's only gotta it keep it together for 11 more days, then he can take a well-deserved break from public speaking. And just think: in 11 more days, we'll NEVER have to hear another Rmoney speech again!!!
