Every time someone endorses the Republican Platform it ends his political career on the spot

I really don't understand these dumb rape/abortion controversies.

It is the official platform of the entire Republican Party that raped and impregnated women must be forced to carry the fetus to term because the resulting child is the work of almighty God.

There is nothing the least bit odd in saying so. It's the official view of the Republican Party.

The problem is not the 1% of rape-remark self-detonation candidates. The problem is the hundreds of people running on precisely the same position who are cynical enough to phrase their support more inexactly.

Old ideas that cut across the grain of reality should be shut down. I can't believe we are even having a discussion on what rape is and any relation to God. That is insane.
