Halloween Hurricane

that's the big headline this morning - somewhere between Washington DC and New York City.

Get ready East Coast - they are calling this historic and possibly a once in a lifetime storm that is going to be a combo of a hurricane and a Noreaster.

PHEW!!!!

our house.
Yes, it has weathered many storms, as has this house.
But it is worrisome.
I'm just going to make sure the car isnt parked under it., tie down the garbage cans
(its amazing to me to see all the cans flying around, people just forget, or are too lazy)
We are just lucky it isnt a bit colder, a proper Nor'easter with this much moisture in it would drop FEET of snow
on us.
I wasnt here for the 95-96 snow, but heard that trucks were stuck at the fuel pumps (at truck stops) because the snow piled up so quick.
Best place to be stuck, as you wouldnt run out of fuel.
But they can idle for days on a full tanks.
Be safe everyone...

Fun fact: The Red October went right over the tunnel, at least in the book version.

If there was, I wouldn't be anywhere near it right now.

I don't live on the Outer Banks, I just like to visit . . .

When there's not a fucking hurricane.
