Sununu releases statement in response to controversy:

Colin Powell is a friend and I respect the endorsement decision he made, I do not doubt that it was based on anything but his support of the Presidents policies. Piers Morgans question was whether Colin Powell should leave the party, and I dont think he should.

Of course! You can't be a certified bigot without at least one "black friend."

about their racism, or if they're just strumming the chords their despicable followers want to hear.
At the level of an Akin or a Mourdock, you're still talking Useful Idiots, but I suspect Bennett's positions are carefully shaped in the forge of self-interest.

who is too much taken with his own brilliance and insight due to having spent his entire life surrounded by kowtowing sycophants.
His campaign is playing out the inevitable consequences of his bullheaded and incompetent management.
