It's degrading and life is too short.

If I want to watch terrible theater, I'll go out to the high school. At least, they're sincere.

of Florida, with good reason, gets trashed by Dems -- the voters, not so much politicians -- but I'm so proud of my home state of Massachusetts. The contrast is like night and day. I wish I could vote for Elizabeth Warren.

"Sir you don't carry yourself as an American. Where are you from?"

Smartass me I replied

"I am from California... some people in my country don't think California is part of the USA."

Let me quote myself at a recent City Council meeting for the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor and also the attack on the Philippines the same day.

"I have stood on those beaches and I have climbed those hills and I have wept. It is a place still littered with the shrapnel dropped by bombers built right here in Burbank."

Corrigidor and Leyte. These are places that I treasure. Cebu, whose hills are just like the Verdugo Hills that surround my home town.

I am a Californian just like my parents whose grave is bordered by granite from the mountains surrounding and protecting our state.
