In Brazil, the southern hemisphere insurrectionists rose up in the heat of enero, so see we can say the only reason the folks up north did not turn out in the streets was because it was winter.
Lets go with that, its too cold in January to pay attention to an attack upon sacred American institutions, and there was the Super Bowl.

and it wasn't too cold, but you're right. We should have been out by the thousands to protest the coup.. I think it should have happened and maybe the reason it didn't was COVID. But that didn't stop the rioters on 1/6 or the George Floyd protests in the summer so I honestly don't understand the lack of reaction.
