I stopped posting about my family for the most part thanks to cave dwellers. My granddaughter riding a train and my mom's passing are the only 2 items I believe I have posted for some time. I have no idea if I will ever get back to posting family info the way I used to.
Marta and my wedding anniversary the DU shared a couple years ago was a blast.

(1,370 posts)are shirt-tails? There's only 2 million of us in this state so if we play 6° of separation I'll bet we could get there.
Sorry to hear of your loss. Ours was a still too young man, injured, crushed actually, in a factory accident some years ago and confined to a wheelchair since. Today the machine finally took him.

(22,271 posts)My aunt. 61 years old. COMPLETELY unexpected. The day after the election. The sadness doesn't end there. They had just lost their house of 23 years to foreclosure. They lost their car too. My uncle, who had been unemployed off and on for several years, had just got a new job in another town but it wasn't in time to save their home. Their grief on all of this was immeasurable and I think it was just too much for her. Now for the gruesome part -- her body is still in the morgue because the funeral home won't accept it without some sort of down payment. He doesn't get paid until tomorrow.
My deepest condolences, OS. I know what you're going through right now.
