They all just won re-election on a platform of cutting taxes and all that shit.

They have absolutely no motivation to work with the President.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they allow sequestration to occur and taxes to rise; it's all on the President now.

Romney lost.
We picked up seats in the Senate.
We picked up seats in the House.

Boehner and McConnell can posture all they want.

They have the votes.

If they want to be assholes (which I am sure, they desperately want to be assholes) they can DOA Obama's agenda.

Overall, the House has a bad approval rating nationally. However, the House is not elected on a national level. So they really dont care since they just got re-elected on their local level.

I think the GOP is more willing to compromise on certain things like immigration reform. But they are going to fight the President hard on taxes and spending.

They have to do something to get him to not veto any change. Which is pretty much what he just said.
