I'm from the Philly area just like he is. In the 60s I couldn't wait to get to Greenwich Village every chance I got. Kids from all over the east coast got the coolest clothes in the Village. Met the coolest people, had a great time in the clubs or just hanging around Washington Square Park. I met David Peel (Up against the wall mother fuckers) and bought my first bowl of hash in the Village.

So, to answer his question - hell yeah this country is becoming more like Greenwich Village and that's OK.
