Frodo claimed the ring at the end and was saved by Gollum's greater corruption. (Biting Frodo's finger off to get the Ring)

Trump ain't no Gollum. Gollum served a purpose. (a purpose that helped to save the world, albeit through his corruption)

Trump only serves himself.
