I saw her talk to Rachel tonight. She comes off a bright and measured. Democrats seem to be panning around for a Presidential ticket in 2016, I think that Senator Klobuchar being a two term Senator and still young has to have her in that picture.

She is very smart, personable, and has a terrific natural sense of humor. But we need her as a senator now.

Amy Klobuchar is smart and comes across as a very nice person, but she does not like to take a stand on anything. The reason she is so popular is she is very careful not to upset anyone, she avoids hot button issues like the plague. I want a Democrat who will fight for progressive values and Amy is not a fighter.

2006
In the general election, Klobuchar faced Republican candidate Mark Kennedy, Independence Party candidate Robert Fitzgerald, Constitution candidate Ben Powers, and Green Party candidate Michael Cavlan. Klobuchar consistently led Kennedy in the polls throughout the campaign.[8] Klobuchar won with 58% of the vote to Kennedy's 38% and Fitzgerald's 3%, carrying all but eight of Minnesota's 87 counties. Klobuchar became the first elected female U.S. Senator from Minnesota. (Muriel Humphrey, the state's first female senator and former Second Lady of the United States, was appointed to fill her husband's unexpired term and not elected.)
Her WIN isn't surprising when you realize she's probably the ONLY candidate who actually visits EVERY county in Minnesota every year for the past 7.

Per Amy, "Meeting with people in cities and towns across our state helps inspire my work in the Senate," said Klobuchar. Ive always approached my job with one simple value putting Minnesota first. Thats why I have visited all 87 of our states counties for the past seven years, and why I will continue to work to get things done for the people of this state."
