2. The Petraeus "thing" has put a crimp in their impeachment plans, imo...

They wanted to start impeachment over the BenGhazi matter. They wanted to use the testimony of Petraeus to further their efforts. Now, it appears that it is the Republicans in the House and the FBI and the CIA that were covering up this matter all along? The sooner they can put it behind them, the better.

5. They try to make everything an Obama thing. It fails, and will

continue to do so. Whether he was aware of the investigation or not, election or not, Obama wasn't going to fire Petraeus on an investigation that hadn't yet been completed, and in which Petraeus himself was not found to have conducted criminal activity or a national security breach.
