I also wonder who helped spread them even though they were baseless?
Many rumors of this sort are started to cause problems on our side --and lots of times, the rumors are false, but do damage as if they were true!
A frustration.

(507 posts)on lefty blogs is incomprehensible. She is the farthest left of anyone who has ever been that high up in the federal government. Ever. She was remarkably effective and competent. That she couldn't deliver everything people wanted is accepted by grownups, spoiled brats insist on what's impossible.
I hope to see her with the gavel in her hand, a repaired Senate and a Democrat as president, someday.
Wait Wut
(8,492 posts)I heard plenty of speculation. She's 72, has a large family that I'm sure adores her. I'm sorry, but as much as I love this country and the Democratic party, I'd probably retire.
But, I'm selfish and am relieved to hear she's staying with us. My apologies to the rest of the Pelosi family. But, I'm sure they're incredibly proud of her.
And, I don't understand your subject line, at all. Why is it 'wrong, cruel and undermining' to think that a woman whom has worked so hard for so many years might want to take the rest of her life off and spend it with family? And, I didn't see any 'problems on our side' as a result of the speculation. I saw discussions.

(3,283 posts)At her presser today the age question popped up front and center and was rightfully ridiculed by those present. It was an obvious ploy to embarrass her but she turned the tables in quick fashion on that foolish little asshat.
