FB page. From his wife:
Hi all, this is Adys wife, Rachael. Im devastated to share the news that Ady has died from complications of ALS. You probably knew Ady as a healthcare activist. But more importantly, he was a wonderful dad and my life partner for 18 years.
Ady fought for the 24/7 care he needed to be home with us until the end of his life. Its impossible to thank his incredible caregivers enough for their labor and care, which allowed us to live as a family through Adys health challenges. Everyone should have that chance.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Ady and our family over the yearsfrom the amazing caregivers who became family to us to the activists facing their own health challenges who joined the movement he was building at Be A Hero.

He turned his pain into purpose and, in turn, inspired optimism in the hearts of countless people living with ALS and their loved ones
Its like he said in a speech just one month ago, Staying in the struggle can bring beautiful rewards.
I know from experience what its like to lose a piece of your soul to a deadly disease to watch the most honorable person you know fight until the last breath with absolute courage and character.
I hope Ady's family can find some measure of comfort in knowing that Adys legacy will endure through them, and all those whose lives he touched.
