Gerrymandering

After widespread gerrymandering in 2010 maybe this strategy will bite repubs in the ass?

So there is all this talk about repubs having to reach out to minorities and expand their appeal. However, due to gerrymandering they made sure that their districts were concentrated with white people. So prior to the next census in 2020, where is the incentive at the house level for republicans to 'reach out'?

Locally, I feel there is no democracy, other than in my city. I don't know what the answer is.
