Maybe Ivanka needs to get on her knees and beg him to help.
Or maybe Ivanka just isnt that into Daddy.

(500 posts)He gets a fee off of that, but that would be it. Typically fees for management would be under 1%. More likely under .25%
With that, the whole deal still sticks to high fucking heaven.

(101,368 posts)Those objections included: the inexperience of the Affinity Fund management; the possibility that the kingdom would be responsible for the bulk of the investment and risk; due diligence on the fledgling firms operations that found them unsatisfactory in all aspects; a proposed asset management fee that seems excessive; and public relations risks from Kushners prior role as a senior adviser to his father-in-law, former President Donald Trump, according to minutes of the panels meeting June 30.
But days later, the full board of the $620 billion Public Investment Fund led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabias de facto ruler and a beneficiary of Kushners support when he worked as a White House adviser overruled the panel.
...
But the Saudis agreed to pay Mnuchins firm only a 1% asset management fee, compared with 1.25% for Kushners, the documents indicate. On a $2 billion investment, that would pay his firm $25 million a year, not including a share of any profits earned by the Affinity fund.

(154 posts)is the private equity fund that Kushner launched in 2021. The Saudis $2B was an initial seed to the fund which would invest in US and Israeli companies that do business in Asia and Africa creating Muslim and Jewish partnerships. I believe the fund is managing around $15B today.
I don't see how investing in a Trump appeal bond fits the fund's mission.

All money was given to his business to manage. If he took any to help Trump, it's called embezzlement. And the IRS and Treasury take dim view of that. Even if he gets explicit permission from the Saudis, any amount large enough to help Trump gets reported and gets flagged as money laundering. I don't think Jared is going to risk IRS and Treasury scrutiny for Trump.

(54,445 posts)I doubt Jared Kushner was susceptible to such an offer, and probably knew far better than any bank loan officer what his chances were of getting paid.

(5,437 posts)So says Jared, so says Trump. A common crime family trait.
Only leaves the Deplorables to get that money from, really.
Or some overseas 'benefactors' - great way to buy influence if the next Trump presidency happens, don'tcha know?
