State Department HQ in D.C. catches on fire

State Department HQ catches on fire

The State Department's Washington D.C. headquarters caught fire Saturday morning, a department spokeswoman announced.

"In the course of routine maintenance in the mechanical area of the main State Department building, a fire began at around 11 a.m. this morning," spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said.

"The D.C. Fire Department was called to contain the fire. Several maintenance workers were taken to the hospital for treatment," Nuland said. "The fire was quickly extinguished and the main building has been reopened for normal weekend operations."

Washington D.C.'s WJLA reports that the fire was caused by duct work, and was quickly extinguished.

what did the White House know. Was this a terrorist attack and how can they be sure it wasn't? Was it because of the new movie about the SEAL's and how can you be sure it wasn't? Why didn't they name names? This was posted at 6:44 pm and the fire was around 11 am, why did it take so long to tell the American people what happened?
