When he worked under the Obama administration, his appearance was one of a very dignified officer/physician and reasonably attractive professional man. Now when I see photos of him he looks like he has aged 4x more than expected and is often fairly disheveled.

I think that chip on his shoulder driving him to defend Trump at all costs and seek retribution toward those he perceives have caused his own downfall--has seemingly not been good for him--in more ways than one.
