(2,239 posts)Stop caving into the spoiled brat!
Stop pretending he gets to make the rules!
Stop trying to be nice to him!
Stop coddling the criminal!
He tried to overturn voters. He is STILL trying. He won't stop until the courts take the threat seriously.
Just fuckin STOP it!

It's all a scam.
Mr. and Mrs. Main Street USA would not be accorded the same privilege.
A person of color would already be in jail.

(35,339 posts)Once again Trump gets what he wants
I have no reason to believe 10 days will remain 10 days
If he gets the lower bond ($175m), and loses his appeal, he only loses the $175m and the state has to chase him to get the rest from wherever he has hidden it.

(17,023 posts)This way they get part of it and can happily seize the rest, should he lose on appeal.

(8,409 posts). . . The fact that five appellate judges thought it appropriate to reduce the bond is a pretty good indicator that there is significant sympathy among the Appellate Division for reducing the underlying judgment.

(1,786 posts)what I was warming about the last couple of weeks. The unusually high bond amount could cause a major backfire. Even 175M is still highly unusual and could be grounds for some trouble.

(10,222 posts)I knew he would negotiate them down, just like he does the banks. Now all he need do is get his personal concierge Supreme Court to find some bizzaro US Constitutional law question in all of this.
"Under the appellate ruling, Trump now has 10 days to come up with the $175 million bond. In addition to the financial portion of the lower court's decision, the appeals court stayed the three-year bars against Trump from applying for loans from New York financial institutions, the two-year prohibition against Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump from serving as officers or directors in New York companies and the permanent bar against former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg and controller Jeff McConney from serving in financial control positions in New York businesses."

(35,339 posts)That some mystery person would swoop in last second and cover it
I did not see this outcome
I thought the courts were done ruling until his appeal was paid for
Now his appeal got an appeal
Now we have 10 days till the next delay
elocs
(22,626 posts)then worrying about the next day when it comes up. It's work well for him so fare.
But we, on the other hand, continue to listen to the "experts" who assure us they know what they are talking about hence increasing our expectations that things will not go well with Trump.
We just need to learn to be patient and to temper our expectations to reality rather than what we wish with all our hearts for them to be.

(9,464 posts)the court quickly came to his rescue yet again. Now the cost of buying a potential president has been greatly reduced. If nobody gives him the $175 mil they will reduce it yet again which will mean yet another delay. He will not spend a dime of his money though, the courts wouldn't want him to have to do that.
