For about the fourth time today...

It came to scotus on appeal in November and both sides said they needed a decision by Jan 1st to get new maps in place.

Scotus still hasn't handed down a decision so today the district Court allowed south Carolina to use the existing maps because there would be no time to redraw them if scotus rules.

Both the district and the appellate court found gross racial gerrymandering and ordered new maps drawn. South Carolina apealed to scotus.

They were expected to lose the appeal.
