It wouldn't surprise me if a kid found a gun, took that gun, and shot another kid in the Lunchroom or the Playground. On purpose. Not fooling around and it goes off.

During an active shooter incident the untrained, inexperienced teacher injures and kills innocent students and teachers in a failed attempt to neutralize the gunman.

suicide. (Kind of like one of the responses but I think it's more likely than mass suicide. People normally just quit the profession).

30+ states allow teachers to carry guns, Tennessee is the latest. I haven’t seen any story where this led to a student being injured. If your state doesn’t then contract your representative and tell them to get with the program.

The odds of an active shooter situation which starts in a classroom where the teacher happens to be one of the few that decide to carry and is quick enough to grab it and take care of the situation in real time.

Pretty slim, right?

And if fully armed, fully trained, fully armored police were too scared to engage an active shooter in Uvalde, what teacher is going to roam the halls and do the same?

I just don't see the benefit.

There's this thing called multitasking.

Look it up.
