Such depressing headlines in my local news today.

Three ugly stories all on one page.

One story was about a rape victim who is a high school student. The rape took place at school.

Another victim was an 11-year-old girl. She was molested by a 44 year old man.

A 55-year old man was charged with raping 3 minors and 10 counts of gross sexual imposition over a span of 10 years in the third story.

Why are there so many sickos out there preying on women and girls. Is it just me or is this horror on the increase?

No. Victims just feel incrementally more supported to speak up about it.

about how a conservative group was educating young men that they would not have access to abortion in Florida. They should act accordingly.
Women across the country are eschewing relationships with trumpers.
I imagine, additional frustrations are creeping into some already complaining lives.
As a man, I can say that men are already bad without this.

The police are taking it more seriously?

These things used to be covered up.
It has always been there.

It's probably too late for those particular "sickos," but THIS IS STILL HOW WE RAISE FAR TOO MANY OF OUR CHILDREN.

And that women do not have the right to refuse them. The constant calls for violence and the frustrations pushed by right-wing media just add to the problem.

TV and internet we hear about everything. Like the Amber alerts if a child is abducted 200 miles away I get an
Amber alert on my phone and TV. Kids were abducted 50 years ago we just weren't aware unless in your local area.

I know, it's "not all men." But it's still a shit ton! Almost every woman over the age of 11 has at least one and usually several anecdotes about being mistreated and/or harassed and/or assaulted and/or terrorized by males.

the media and the PTB are once again normalizing rape as a natural sex act for men to do to women - not an act to strip a woman of her power. They give tacit approval. And we have too many men on steroids, on "testosterone boosters," viagra, cialis, and other testosterone boosting drugs in addition to the recklessness these drugs and drug interactions can cause).

If they try to institute the Comstock Act, or develop registries for women, I absolutely believe we must raise such a ruckus that if we can't get these unconstitutional laws knocked down, we have to advocate for men's drugs to be added to a male's database, as well. Viagra and other drugs like it or dangerous for those with heart conditions, for example... but that's never brought out loudly and plainly. They're going to fight like hell against it, and I'll die on the hill fighting FOR these types of laws. I lived a good portion of my life as a 2nd class citizen, and now I'm thrust back into that position once again. If they won't give US equality, then men are going to have to give up some of their entitlement in order to have a modicum of equality between the genders. YMMV
