Nice to read ONE POST that isn't full of frothing hatred against this president in this thread. Of course, it's the usual suspects infesting a thread that is complimentary toward President Obama, but they'll swear to the very end that they had voted for him - twice! Uh-huh.

13. Obama never leaned so left as to espouse such words or ideals.

I would expect those words to have come from Lincoln.

On the other hand, you have a person like Obama who appointed folks like Geithner and Summers to his economic team, the same people who helped to crash the economy in the first place. Obama never ran as a leftist. He ran as a center-rightist instead, in competition against the far-right.

8. So far apart the mere comparison is obscene. Lincoln had no shortage of flaws

and he made some terrible decisions, but he handled the office and held beliefs completely opposing those of our current President. If you insist on comparing President Obama to a previous President, I would suggest Wilson.

There are more recent examples, too. This is a repeat of Clinton, just in a different time. The New Democrat formula, perfected.

16. Now that you mention it, Wilson was much more liberal than the President and his accomplishments

I'll go along with Clinton.

10. Lincoln-FDR-LBJ-Carter-OBAMA all 5 are part of each other. They all built all of them.

Without any of the 4, there wouldn't be Obama.
Same for any of them

they are a continuation of the forward movement
