Police Confirm Two Officers Shot At Topeka Grocery Store

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Authorities from multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a central Topeka Dillons Grocery Store after two officers were shot Sunday.

The call went out after 6 p.m. and officers from multiple agencies responded to the Dillons store located at 1400 SW Huntoon St.

The officers who were shot were responding to reports of a suspicious vehicle at the store, according to police.

Conditions of the officers involved were not being released as of 8:02 p.m. Sunday.

A witness told 13 News the shooting happened just outside the entrance of Dillons. The witness said he heard three gun clips emptied- then heard another series of shots.
