Probably close to the same age as the shooter.

We have a generation there with far to many young people without the capacity to see beyond their own immediate desires and lacking the capacity to feel compassion for others.

I know we also have many wonderful young people, but I think if we are honest with ourselves, we have to admit, there is something very broken in our society.

We've been going downhill ever since.

The young people may be the ones posting this crap on Twitter, but believe me--the older ones were saying the same thing in their own homes, between guzzling beer and belching loudly.

Notice the selective racism, though? They have nothing against watching black football players, but a black Democrat? ZOMG!!1!!

I read as many of them as I could take. You know what they reminded me of? Non-voting conservatives. You know the sort: They know they would vote Republican, if they knew how to vote ... but they don't ... so they don't.

The silver lining:

These are the people who would have voted for Romney in '12 and McCain in '08, if they weren't so lazy, uneducated, and downright stupid that they don't know the first thing about how to register or where to vote.

I'm telling you, as bad as their comments are, they expose the magnitude of selfishness and hedonism that make it impossible for them to lift a finger to further their bigotry beyond the occasional Internet hate forum.
