..... the events of Tuesday mall shooting in Portland and Fridays horrific tragedy in CT.
.... I dont think quite as well as President Obama has. I dont think there would have been much compassionate from him nor do I think there would have been as much engagement or call to end the violence, I think he would have towed the NRA talking points...
What do you think.
Thank God we have President Obama steering the ship at this time in our nation history.

Today, we needed a President, not a CEO.

(11,605 posts)He has grandchildren around the same age as these kids...I can't imagine he would have felt nothing. But I can't see him showing the same degree of genuine empathy as President Obama did.

(86,636 posts)pics of him with those children from today, they would have run away screaming and even more traumatized. her heinous would have been pissed about having to touch them, and of course she would want to be included in the publicity... And mittens would have chastised the rest of the faculty for not shutting down the melee and call for the whole school district to be privatized so it could be patrolled by blackwater/Xe. And of course, he would have found a way to make a profit from it all through his "blind trust" ruse.
Sorry... I know it's crude but I can't see anything positive about him/them having anything to do with this in an official capacity and that's the nicest scenario I could imagine.

(12,608 posts)I just finished reading an article about Romney and gun control. When Romney was running for POTUS he spoke at a NRA national convention and warned that reelecting Obama would "lead to a unrestrained assault on freedoms with decades of repercussions "
In 2004 while governor of Massachusetts he extended a ban on assault weapons and small handguns. Less than a year later he designated May 7th 'Right to bear arms day's in Massachusetts and became a NRA member.
